Programme Details
The FREE 2-Day Young Doctors’ Camp starts every year in May. Students will be divided into groups to experience and understand various departments and procedures at Yashoda Hospitals across four units: Somajiguda, Malakpet, Secunderabad, and Hitec City.
Eligibility:
Students studying in 8th, 9th, and 10th standard in the academic year 2026-27
To Apply:
- Send a copy of your latest report card.
- Record a 1-minute video explaining “Why you want to be part of the Young Doctors Camp at Yashoda Hospitals.”
Important Dates:
- Last date to apply: May 10th, 2026
- Camp dates: May 29th & 30th, 2026
- Location – Across 4 Units – Somajiguda, Malakpet, Secunderabad, and Hitec City.

Their activities will include the following:
- Visiting Out-Patient Department (OPD)
- Visiting the Diagnostic Centre
- A Visit to the Operation Theatre (OT)
- Exposure to Emergency Room (ER) and Critical Care Units
- Understanding real-time emergency response and patient handling
- Visiting In-Patient Wards and Cath Lab
- Blood Banks and Cancer Institute Tours
- Hands-on CPR training and basic life-saving techniques (BP reading, etc.)
- Attending Lectures by Prominent Doctors
- Lunch with Key Doctors and a Facility Tour
- Overview of Key Hospital Departments & Functions:
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU) & Critical Care: Understanding life support systems, emergency care, and patient monitoring.
- Emergency Room (ER): Learning how medical teams handle urgent and life-threatening situations.
- Food & Beverage (F&B) Department: Learning about patient nutrition, dietary planning, and hospital food services.
- Biomedical Department: Exploring medical equipment maintenance, calibration, and safety protocols.
- Pharmacy & Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD): Insights into medication management and sterilization processes.
- Hospital Administration: Brief on management, patient records, and healthcare operations.
Certificates of Participation will be awarded upon completion.
