Yashoda Institute of Interventional Radiology

Interventional Radiology (IR) or Vascular and Interventional Radiology (VIR) is an amalgamation of detection and simultaneous correction of the abnormalities inside the human body. The scope of imaging sciences is expanding much beyond the diagnostics and adding value to various image-guided treatments. Interventional radiologists make use of imaging modalities such as X-ray, CT, MRI and ultrasound for guidance and achieve better outcomes.

IR procedures are backed by image-guidance and minimally invasive technologies; thus are safer and better alternatives to conventional open surgeries. Interventional radiology offers corrective, outpatient-based procedures that usually do not need general anesthesia. Compared to open surgery, patients experience better outcomes in terms of lesser bleeding, infections and complications. Thus, interventional radiology offers faster recovery with minimal risk and pain.

Yashoda Institute of Interventional Radiology is equipped with state-of-the-art, high-resolution neuro and peripheral Angio suites, 3D rotational Angio and 3D CT supported by advanced software integration. These Angio suites are well equipped for advanced vascular interventions including complex intracranial procedures, gastrointestinal and aortic interventions.

Expertise and Services:

Interventional radiologists are the doctors who specialize in minimally invasive, image-guided, targeted treatments. Image-guided interventional procedures are performed by a comprehensive medical care team with expertise in interventional radiology, vascular surgery, endoscopy, laparoscopy, and other minimally invasive techniques.

Interventional radiology focuses on all diseases irrespective of the affected area and thus covers major abnormalities of brain, nerves, spine, lungs, heart, blood vessels, liver and kidneys. Thus interventional radiology team collaborates with interventional cardiologists, neurologists, vascular surgeons, general surgeons, oncologists, gastroenterologists, nephrologists, urologists, and gynecologists, when necessary.

Yashoda Institute of Interventional Radiology provides comprehensive and extensive array of treatments including vascular and nonvascular interventions in the specialties of neurovascular, oncology, gastrointestinal, peripheral vascular disease and emergency bleeding –

Consultant Interventional Radiologist

Interventional radiologists are the doctors who specialize in minimally invasive, image-guided, targeted treatments. We have one of the best interventional radiologists in Hyderabad who has expertise in interventional radiology therapies, interventional gastrointestinal therapies, interventions. In peripheral vascular disease, we perform interventions for obstetrics and gynecology disorders, interventional vascular therapies, interventional treatments for vascular malformations. In nephrology and urology, we perform interventional oncology therapies, image-guided tumor ablation, interventional pain therapy.

Interventional Radiology (IR) refers to a range of techniques which rely on the use of X-ray fluoroscopy, ultrasound, radiological image guidance, computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging to precisely target therapy. Most IR treatments are minimally invasive alternatives to open and laparoscopic surgery. Interventional radiology procedures are backed by image-guidance and minimally invasive technologies, thus are safer and better alternatives to conventional open surgeries. Interventional radiology offers that usually do not need general anesthesia and are corrective outpatient based procedures.

Yashoda Institute of Interventional Radiology in Hyderabad offers endovascular coiling of an aneurysm, flow reconstruction / diversion of intracranial aneurysms, acute stroke interventions including mechanical thrombectomy using stentreivers and mechanical intracranial suction devices, carotico cavernous fistula and dural AVF embolization, intracranial and spinal AVM embolization cervical carotid and intracranial carotid stenting venous stenting for idiopathic intracranial hypertension, other vascular interventions hepatobiliary and transplant interventions including direct intrahepatic portosystemic shunt, transjugular intrahepatic stent shunt, biliary stenting peripheral arterial, venous angioplasty and stenting central venous intervention, uterine and renal bleeds, aortic stent grafting for thoracic, abdominal and thoracoabdominal aneurysms and aortic dissections selective embolizations for GI bleed, bronchial bleed.
