Myomectomy: Pre-Op & Post-Op Care

Preparation for Myomectomy 

Before uterine fibroids surgery, the doctor may prescribe medication to reduce the size of the fibroids and make their removal easier. During the procedure

Myomectomy recovery

The recovery period for a myomectomy varies depending on the type of surgery. For abdominal myomectomy, hospitalization is usually 2 days with a recovery period of 4 to 6 weeks, while laparoscopic myomectomy takes 2-3 weeks. Hysteroscopic myomectomy, on the other hand, can take only 1 or 2 days.

Post-procedure care
