    Intraoperative Radiotherapy (IORT) delivers a precise dose of radiation directly to the tumour site during surgery, immediately after tumour removal. By targeting areas at highest risk of residual cancer cells while temporarily moving or shielding nearby healthy tissues, IORT helps improve local tumour control and may reduce the need for additional external radiation treatments in selected patients.
