This method may be appropriate for patients who have been diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma, especially if the tumours are small and measure less than 4 cm in diameter.
A laparoscopic partial nephrectomy provides the advantages of a shorter hospital stay, less postoperative discomfort, and a lower risk of complications such as renal failure when compared to open surgery.
