Testimonial by Mr. Ashish Banerjee

Knee pain can be caused by various conditions such as osteoarthritis, ligament injuries, meniscus tears, or tendonitis. The treatment approach aims to relieve pain, improve function, and address the specific condition. Conservative treatments are often the first line of approach for knee pain. These include rest, activity modification, physical therapy, and pain management with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or analgesics. Physical therapy helps strengthen the surrounding muscles, improve joint stability, and enhance flexibility. Assistive devices such as crutches, braces, or orthotics may be recommended to support the knee and alleviate pain.

In cases where conservative measures fail to provide relief, more invasive procedures may be considered. Arthrocentesis involves removing excess fluid from the knee joint to relieve pain and swelling. For certain knee conditions, surgical intervention may be necessary. Arthroscopic surgery, a minimally invasive procedure, is used to repair or remove damaged structures within the knee joint. In severe cases of osteoarthritis or joint degeneration, total or partial knee replacement surgery may be recommended to replace the damaged joint with an artificial implant.

Conservative treatments generally have shorter recovery times, while surgical interventions may require a more extensive rehabilitation period. Physical therapy and rehabilitation are crucial for restoring knee function, improving strength, and facilitating a return to normal activities.
