“Unravelling the Challenges of Saving Two Lives” Through Collaborative Expertise

Hyderabad, 8th June, 2025: Yashoda Hospitals–Hitec City hosted a multidisciplinary National Conference featuring a groundbreaking scientific program titled “Excellence in High-Risk Pregnancy,” uniting eminent medical experts across various specialties to spotlight advanced, integrative approaches in managing complex and high-risk obstetric cases. The conference drew enthusiastic participation from consultants, postgraduate trainees, and specialists in obstetrics, internal medicine, and critical care.

Delivering the keynote address, Dr. Pavan Gorukanti, Director – Yashoda Hospitals, shared insights into the institution’s distinctive approach to handling high-risk pregnancies. “At Yashoda, we have developed a protocolised, multi-system care framework where high-risk pregnancy is not managed in isolation but approached through a collaborative matrix involving intensivists, cardiologists, nephrologists, and other super-specialists. What truly distinguishes our model is the ability to anticipate complications before they unfold, ensuring maternal and fetal safety through timely, evidence-based interventions,” he stated.

The day-long conference featured in-depth sessions by leading faculty on a wide range of critical topics, including gestational trophoblastic disease, rheumatological and endocrine disorders in pregnancy, obstetric emergencies, maternal cardiac complications, and more. A notable highlight was the session on MR-Linac-based precision radiation therapy for gynecological malignancies, demonstrating cutting-edge oncology integration into maternal care.

Welcoming participants, Dr. Krishnaveni Nayini, Senior Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, emphasized the importance of coordinated, empathetic care in high-risk scenarios. “Managing high-risk pregnancy goes beyond obstetric skill—it demands holistic, real-time collaboration across disciplines. With increasing maternal comorbidities, tertiary centers like ours must lead the way in building structured, responsive care pathways that enhance outcomes and reduce preventable maternal-fetal morbidity,” she affirmed.

Adding gravitas to the event, Dr. Pavan Gorukanti shared a compelling vision: “This National Conference is not merely a scientific gathering—it is a declaration of intent. In the realm of high-risk pregnancies, we are not just saving lives; we are engineering outcomes against biological odds, powered by foresight, precision, and purpose. At Yashoda, we’ve built more than infrastructure—we’ve built an ecosystem of trust, innovation, and hope where two lives matter equally, and miracles are manufactured through medicine.”

A high-impact panel discussion on “Turning Obstetric Challenges into Success Stories” underscored the pivotal roles of ICU support and peripartum anesthesia in optimizing maternal outcomes, while a spirited Postgraduate Quiz added academic vigor to the event. The program concluded with a certification ceremony and a vote of thanks, celebrating the collaborative effort behind this impactful initiative.

Through this National Conference, Yashoda Hospitals reaffirmed its leadership in maternal-fetal medicine, setting a new benchmark in high-risk pregnancy management through evidence-based, multidisciplinary collaboration.
