The National Conference & Live Workshop on the most advanced gynecological robotic surgeries by Yashoda Hospitals-Hitec City was successful with the participation of 500+ gynecologists.

Healthcare witnessed a transformative milestone with the successful organization of GYN ROBOCON 2025, a one-day national conference conducted by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, headed by Dr. Anitha Kunnaiah, at Yashoda Hospitals, Hitec City. The conference served as a unique academic platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and demonstration of the latest advancements in robotic gynecological surgery.

Robotic surgery, far from replacing surgeons, has been recognized for enhancing surgical skills through 3D high-definition vision, wristed instruments, tremor filtration, and unmatched precision. In gynecology, it has found wide applications in managing large uterus, myomectomy, fertility-enhancing procedures, endometriosis, and complex adenomyosis surgeries—procedures that previously carried significant morbidity but now ensure faster recovery, minimal blood loss, and better quality of life.

At the heart of this revolution stood the Da Vinci Surgical System, comprising a surgeon’s console, a patient-side cart with four robotic arms, and a 3D high-definition vision platform. Its advanced EndoWrist technology enabled natural hand-like dexterity, making suturing, fine dissection, and anatomical reconstruction safer and more precise.

The conference was headlined by distinguished international faculty:

  • Dr. Peter C. Lim, Medical Director, Robotic Surgery Center of Hope, Nevada, USA
  • Dr. Mahendra Bhandari, CEO, Vattikuti Foundation and a pioneer of robotic surgery in India

Their participation underscored the global academic significance of the event.

The scientific program included:

  • Live surgical demonstrations showcasing the latest robotic techniques.
  • Keynote addresses by international pioneers.
  • Interactive multidisciplinary panel discussions.
  • Skill-enhancement sessions for both senior surgeons and trainees.

The event was organized in association with the Obstetric and Gynaecological Society of Hyderabad (OGSH) under the leadership of Dr. S. Shantha Kumari (Treasurer, FIGO; Past President, FOGSI; President, TCOGS & OGSH) and Dr. Jayanthi Reddy (President, OGSH), alongside eminent national faculty from across India.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Anitha Kunnaiah, Organizing Chairperson and Senior Consultant, Yashoda Hospitals – Hitec City, emphasized: “The focus of GYN ROBOCON 2025 was innovation, technology, and precision. This was not only about advanced tools but about achieving better surgical outcomes, reducing patient suffering, and providing solutions across the spectrum of gynecological conditions.”

The conference received strong institutional support from Dr. G. S. Rao (Managing Director, Yashoda Hospitals), Dr. Pavan Gorukanti (Director, Yashoda Group of Hospitals), and Dr. Lingaiah (Director of Medical Services), reaffirming Yashoda Hospitals’ vision for innovation and patient-centered care.

GYN ROBOCON 2025 established itself as a premier academic meet where robotic gynecology was not merely discussed as the future but was demonstrated as the present reality, transforming surgical practice and patient outcomes.
