Yashoda Hospitals conducted Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on pulmonary rehabilitation

The Department of Physiotherapy and Department of Pulmonology at Yashoda Hospital, Secunderabad organized a CME program on pulmonary rehabilitation. Over 150 physiotherapists from across India were present during the session.

The program is a part of Yashoda Hospitals’ larger scheme to equip health professionals with skills regarding the latest developments in medical technology. It highlighted the role of pulmonary rehabilitation in improving the health of people at risk of pulmonary diseases. The CME included sessions on bronchial hygiene, exercise testing and prescription, airway clearance techniques etc.

Some of the featured talks were regarding medicine, ending smoking, and the management of weight, hypertension, and diabetes. Senior pulmonologists, including Dr. Y Gopikrishna, Dr. Gangadhar Reddy, emphasized the role of physical activity in managing pulmonary diseases.
