Patient Testimonial for Treatment for Stroke

Testimonial by Mr. Basireddy

A fever is typically defined as a body temperature of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit (38 degrees Celsius) or higher. Fevers can be caused by a variety of things, including infections, illnesses, and certain medical conditions.

A stroke, also known as a cerebrovascular accident (CVA), is a medical emergency that occurs when the blood flow to the brain is disrupted. In some cases a stroke can lead to a coma. A coma is a state of deep unconsciousness, where a person is unresponsive to external stimuli and cannot be awakened. A stroke that causes severe damage to the brain can lead to a coma.

The treatment of a coma caused by a stroke depends on the underlying cause and the severity of the brain injury. If caused by a blocked artery, doctors may use clot-busting drugs or perform a thrombectomy procedure. If caused by bleeding, the focus is on controlling the bleeding, which may involve surgery and medications.

Recovery may include supportive measures, physical therapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy to help regain function and independence. The extent of recovery varies depending on the individual, injury and overall health. Rehabilitation and recovery processes can be long and not linear, with occasional setbacks. The focus of care is providing a positive environment, good nutrition and rest to help reach full potential.
