What is Lipoma Removal?
Fatty masses known as lipomas form beneath your skin; developed on arms, shoulders, legs, and back, etc., are typically harmless and non-cancerous. Lipoma surgery is the procedure that involves the removal of those fatty masses by making simple incisions.
Types of Lipoma Treatments:
- Excision: One of the common & standard surgical treatments for lipomas.
- Liposuction: This procedure involves suctioning of fatty tissue using a thin tube, generally considered an alternative to excision surgery.
These lipomas can also be treated without surgical methods such as injections that shrink & dissolve the fat cells, such as steriodal injections, lipoma-dissolving injections, and laser treatments.
