What is Laparoscopic Adrenalectomy?

Laparoscopic adrenalectomy is performed to surgically remove one (unilateral adrenalectomy) or both (bilateral adrenalectomy) adrenal glands.

Adrenalectomy is performed by both urologists and general surgeons. General anaesthesia is used before surgery. Three tiny (1 cm) incisions in the belly are made during surgery. Risks and complications of Laparoscopic Adrenalectomy

There are multiple risks associated with adrenalectomy. Intraoperative complications may include vascular injury, excessive bleeding, and organ injury.
