Transplant competent authority committee

Introduction

As per the Transplantation of Human Organs Act (1994) and the Transplantation of Human Organs Rules (2014), along with any updates or re-enactments in force, Rule 23(4) mandates that the decision of the Authorization Committee regarding organ transplants must be displayed on the hospital’s notice board immediately. Additionally, the decision should be published on the hospital’s website within 24 hours. It is essential to ensure that the identities of both the recipient and the donor remain confidential during this process.
