Dr. Pradeep Kumar Karumanchi is a Consultant Radiation Oncologist working at Yashoda Hospitals, Somajiguda, with over 15 years of experience. He received his training at prestigious institutions in India and abroad. He has been trained in High Precision Radiotherapy Techniques like MR LINAC, Cyberknife, Radiosurgery, 4D Gated Radiation therapy and Brachytherapy. He also received speciality training in Uro-oncology and Gastrointestinal Oncology from the world-renowned Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Centre (MSKCC) in the United States. He received his training in Thoracic Oncology from the University of Michigan in the United States; Precision Oncology from the University of Geneva in Switzerland; and specialized training in Cyberknife Robotic Radiosurgery from Accuray, USA.
He is a pioneer in MR LINAC technology in India, the first of its kind in India – a revolutionary advancement that enables real-time adaptive MRI- Guided Radiation Therapy for complex and critical cancer cases. He is one of the very few oncologists to practice Hypofractionation in various cancers to treat cancers in very short time and increased efficiency especially in elderly people.
He is an expert in innovative Functional Radiosurgery utilizing radiation for non cancerous diseases like Trigeminal Neuralgia, Osteoarthritis, Parkinson’s Disease, keloids, many more benign conditions without any side effects.
He is actively involved in clinical research and has numerous scientific publications in prestigious international journals. He is particularly interested in Radiomics and Radio-genomics and Artificial Intelligence in Oncology. He treats all types of cancer and specialises in radiotherapy for head and neck cancers, brain tumours, breast cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, gastrointestinal, and gynaecological cancers.
