Dr. Ayyadurai R is a Senior Consultant Neurosurgeon at Yashoda Hospitals, Secunderabad.
Dr. Ayyadurai has been in the field of neurosurgery since 1998. He initially served as a resident in the Department of Neurosurgery at Apollo Superspeciality Hospital, Chennai, until 2005. From 2005 to 2024, Dr. Ayyadurai was part of the Department of Neurosurgery at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, where he held various positions, including Associate Professor.
He has participated in significant workshops, such as the Complex Skull Base Endoscopy Workshop at the University of Pittsburgh in 2018 and the Advanced Complex Skull Base Endoscopy Workshop at Stanford University in 2023. Dr. Ayyadurai founded the Amrita Centre for Neuro-Endoscopy and has served as a faculty member for the Cadaver Skull Base Endoscopy Workshop. Additionally, he has been an invited speaker at numerous national and international conferences and a course director for several Endoscopic Skull Base workshops.
With experience in approximately 5,000 brain tumor surgeries, including skull base tumors, pituitary adenomas, craniopharyngiomas, vestibular schwannomas, meningiomas, gliomas, and brain metastases, Dr. Ayyadurai has vast expertise in robotic neurosurgery, pioneering a new endoport technique using the ROSA Neuro Robotic System. He is also proficient in awake surgeries, temporal lobe epilepsy surgery, and spinal and spinal cord tumor surgeries.
