ENDOBRONCHIAL ULTRASOUND

The course is a didactic and hands-on workshop that provides a comprehensive overview of advanced diagnostic procedure – Endobronchial Ultrasound [EBUS-TBNA]. Our guest faculty this year are Internationally renowned Interventional Pulmonologist Dr. Lorenzo Corbetta, University of Florence, Italy, Dr. Melvin Tay Chee Kiang, Singapore General Hospital, Singapore, Dr. Aji K Kavidasan from Croydon University Hospital, UK and Dr. Angela Takano, Senior Consultant of Cytopathology and Director of Education from Singapore General Hospital.

Participants will gain exposure to a real-time EBUS-TBNA procedure – patient selection, indications,
procedure performance and complications overview.

The highlight of the course are hands-on sessions, during which participants will learn procedural skills via anatomical models, high fidelity electronic simulators, vet models and real-time cases performed by the faculty in the operating room along with the participants.

Course Objectives

This course aims to teach advanced bronchoscopy skill – Endobronchial Ultrasound [EBUSTBNA] in a real-time environment led by expert faculties. This one-day intensive course is an excellent learning opportunity for beginners to learn or refresh one’s knowledge on Endobronchial Ultrasound. At the end of the course participants will be able to understand and perform the following aspects of EBUS-TBNA procedure.
