Dr. Srujan Kumar Dasyam is one of the leading surgical gastroenterologist in Yashoda Hospitals who performs endoscopic procedures.
Diagnostic Endoscopy procedures: Performed and reported more than 2000 diagnostic Upper GI endoscopies. Done about 220 proctosigmoidoscopies and more than 400 colonoscopies.
Therapeutic endoscopy procedures: Managed over 100 esophageal variceal bleeding endoscopically using esophageal banding and endoscopic sclerotherapy in 5 patients over 2 sessions using polydocanol. Managed patients of bleeding peptic ulcer disease with Adrenaline injection.
Biopsied more than 300 patients from various areas, like esophagus, stomach and duodenum. Taken more than 150 colonic and rectal biopsies. Performed Esophageal stricture bougie dilatation in over 80 patients over 180 sessions.
Done ten percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) tube placements, and ten achalasia cardia balloon dilatations. Assisted in pancreatic pseudocyst drainage & polypectomy procedures.
ERCP, EUS and other procedures:
Assisted over 100 ERCP in our center for various indications like choledocholithiasis, biliary pancreatitis, carcinoma head of the pancreas, cholangiocarcinoma, pancreatic ascites, etc. Assisted over 100 diagnostic and therapeutic EUS in our center and also participated in a clinical study on the drainage of pancreatic fluid collections and pancreatic cystic lesions
I have performed more than 20 liver biopsies, 35 ultrasound-guided liver abscess drainage (25 pig-tail placements) and 25 ultrasound-guided FNAC of the liver.
