    ROLES & Responsibilities

    1. Supervise day to day collection / surgery / clearance.


    2. Explain bills to the patients, day to day expenditure and surgery cost.


    3. Carry out rounds and intimate patient about payment and answers their queries.


    4. Issue payment voucher.


    5. Ensure that payment is done.


    6. Submit daily report to HOD about any specific incidences and important information.


    7. Prepare state government reimbursement certificate for state government employees.


    8. Analyze the expenditure for special procedures and ensure collection of 80% expenditure before the procedure.


    9. Be prepared for emergency admission.


    10. Coordinate with doctors and other department staff.


    11. Prepare general correspondence letters received by patients.


    12. Prepare discharge bills.


    13. Coordinate with the surgeons regarding fees and perfectly update floor sheet of the patients in the computer.


    14. Conduct ward rounds and check case sheet and update patient record about the expenditure and collection in billing.


    15. Modify bills in case of concession and submit to the patients.


    16. Collect all the settled bills of the previous day and recheck and get it approved by the General Manager / Manager billing and send case sheets to audit department.


    17. Periodically follow up on all pending bills and inform Manager.


    18. Prepare and submit monthly report of all the pending bills and concession bills to the General Manager.


    19. Ensure all the bills related to credit department are transferred via LAN system to the credit billing section. (as first bill is paid in cash even for credit patients).


    20. Participate in all training and self development programs.

  • Manager / Assistant Manager – Cash Billing Dept

  • REPORTING TO: GENERAL MANAGER

    ROLES & RESPOSIBILITIES

    1. Direct and delegate the department activities and ensure smooth functioning of the department.


    2. Coordinate with admissions department and doctors to provide necessary information to the attendants.


    3. Arrange video and audio counseling sessions with the doctors on need basis.


    4. Coordinate with in patient service department for disposal of case sheet for billing. Ensure proper billing is done.


    5. Ensure day to day bed side procedures posting for cash and credit patients.


    6. Coordinate with respective departments regarding billing.


    7. Ensure that the final bill is complete with all the required documents on time.


    8. Ensure that the patients are satisfied by detailed bill.


    9. Counsel patient attendants about the expenditure.


    10. Ensure prompt issue of discharge sheet and bill when a patient is being discharged


    11. Produce necessary documents to audit department and accounts department.


    12. Ensure prompt update of day to day billing of inpatients in the system.


    13. Ensure that all the manual entries are properly updated.


    14. Approve leaves and prepare duty roster for the executives ensuring that the service is provided without causing any hindrance.


    15. Determine the training requirement of departmental staff.


    16. Maintain discipline, dress code and punctuality among the staff.


    17. Project staff training requirement and arrange for their classes.


    18. Attend meetings and give inputs on new method.


    19. Guide and counsel staff whenever required in the right direction.


    20. Provide departmental orientation and training to the new joiners.


    21. Submit daily report to HOD.
